Make Travel Fair currently gathers articles from 3 main sources:

    1. Contributors that register through the site and submit articles to the editor.
    2. Contributors who already write articles for their own company/organisation or individual blog, don’t have time to write fresh articles for another site and would like to increase their online exposure by allowing Make Travel Fair to handpick and publish a few of their stories in full.
    3. The Make Travel Fair Blog Network comprises Blogs that we have noticed and feel are well aligned with the ethos of Make Travel Fair.  We publish excerpts of stories posted on these Blogs and link the Make Travel Fair reader through to the external site to reader the article in full.
Option 1 - Join our writing community
    • Sign-up to start writing. You don’t have to be a great writer, we’ll edit whatever you write to ensure it reads nicely.  You can log-in and begin once we validate your account.
    • Be sure to enter some information into the “Biographical Info” box in the “About Yourself” section of your profile, as this will show up at the bottom of any articles you write.  Any piece of writing that you decide to “Submit For Review” will be read by the editor and published if appropriate.
    • We are looking for informative, reflective and insightful writing that educates, engages and inspires.  If you would like to run an article idea past us before you begin writing then contact us here and we’ll get back to you ASAP.  If you have an further questions then please check out our FAQ before contacting us.  Most articles we publish are between 500 to 1500 words.  If you would like to append your own photographs to your writing then please email them to stephen.chapman@maketravelfair.co.uk with your article title as the subject.
    Option 2 - Feed syndication
    • All we do is import your RSS Feed (providing it contains the full text of your articles) and then hand pick articles to publish which we think are appropriate. By not publishing all articles from an imported feed we ensure that all material is relevant to Make Travel Fair, we are not spamming our readers, but also importantly for you: that readers still have a reason to navigate to the original site and browse - A site that they may not have otherwise found.
    • All feed owners also get their own page on Make Travel Fair populated with the articles that we’ve published in their name. If at any point your not happy with the material we’re using from your feed or simply change your mind then we will simply stop the syndication upon request.
    • We currently syndicate articles from the Tribewanted community, Survival International, Grass Routes Journeys, World Nomads, Tourism Concern and Sandwagon.  If you are interested in Make Travel Fair syndicating your news feed then please contact us.
Option 3 - Make Travel Fair Blog Network
    • If we find a Blog that we would like to have in the network we will approach you and ask if you wish to be involved. If we haven’t found you yet and you think that your blog is a good match for our network then please contact us and we’ll take a look.
Video Project: What does it mean to make travel fair?

The whl.travel team in Prague share their thoughts

At the beginning of October we put out a call for your videos on our Facebook group.  The idea was to create a video montage of your answers to the question “What does it mean to make travel fair?“.

Initially the project was scheduled to run until the end of October and was confined to Facebook in order to harness and promote the support for Make Travel Fair in our group.  We’ve decided to open up this project to everyone and run it indefinitely, whether you’ve joined us on Facebook or not.
