I'm a strong advocate of change, disrupting stagnant industries and creating new solutions to old problems. I travelled extensively after leaving school (before gap years were cool), attended Edinburgh University to study Geology (where it first began as a science) before promptly turning my back on a career in the Oil & Gas industry to establish a multi-award winning ethics blog, Make Travel Fair. I currently live in the U.S., write, take photos, consult on digital strategies, and run quite a lot.

Hurricane Sandy caused widespread devastation throughout Staten Island, Lower Manhattan and along the New Jersey coast on Monday, 29 October. Calls for cancellation of the looming marathon surfaced immediately. This video (with the help of a Flip camera and iMovie) is of the 10-mile run I did instead.
